Our commitment to accessibility
Fondazione Erice Arte is committed to making its website and digital services accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of physical, sensory or cognitive ability.
Our aim is to provide an inclusive, straightforward browsing experience and remove digital barriers to the cultural, historical, artistic and museum heritage of Erice.
Accessibility measures
- A clear, hierarchical content structure.
- Appropriate use of headings.
- Consistent and intuitive navigation.
- Sufficient contrast between text and backgrounds.
- Compatibility with major browsers and mobile devices.
- Descriptive alternative text for images wherever possible.
- A focus on readability and plain language.
Compliance status
The website is undergoing continuous improvement with the aim of meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
Some areas may not yet be fully compliant, particularly third-party documents, older content published before the current guidelines were adopted, and multimedia content without captions or transcripts. We are working progressively to improve the accessibility of the website as a whole.
