Pepoli Tower

Pepoli Tower is an elegant Moorish-style building in the Balio Gardens. It was commissioned around 1870 by Count Agostino Pepoli as a secluded place for study and reflection and soon became a cultural salon frequented by leading Sicilian intellectuals.

Restored and reopened in 2014 as the Permanent Observatory for Peace and Lighthouse of the Mediterranean, it now houses an interactive multimedia museum devoted to the history, myths, traditions and people of Erice.
